Roy Hogan Brown III, owner of Hogan’s Bakery , is a third generation baker. Hogan's grandfather started Kern's Bakery 1925. Kerns Bakery included five bakeries and became the largest independent bakery in the world. Hogan’s family sold that business in 1989. Today, Hogan works side-by-side with his son, Roy Hogan Brown, IV (pictured left).

Hogan's Bakery specializes in artisan bread making. Artisan bread making differs vastly from large-scale, high-production facilities. The breads from Hogan's Bakery are kneed and shaped by hand. Hogan's Bakery is a member of the prestigious Bread Bakers Guild of America.




Hogan's Bakery uses only the finest ingredients available. All breads are made with King Arthur Flour.

 



Hogan's Bakery donates its surplus bread to Knoxville's Second Harvest Food Bank.
