There are no artificial ingredients in Hogan's breads and our natural white flour is unbleached and unbromated. We use only 100% stone ground whole wheat with no fats or oils in our doughs. A few of our breads contain oils where naturally present in added ingredients such as olives, pecans, or where we've taken the liberty of adding a small amount of oil for a specific purpose.


Home Care of Hogan's Breads

We at Hogan's take pride in offering all of our breads without any preservatives of additives, Our breads are best eaten the same day they are baked. Our breads, especially our unyeasted loaves, stay fresh for at best 3 days if stored cut-side down on your breadboard or in a paper bag. Never refrigerate! As bread ages, the outer slice may become hard, Remove this thin layer and the next slice will be moist.

OUR PRODUCTS

We knead and shape all our loaves by hand daily and give the dough all the time it needs to develop its full flavors and characteristics. Each loaf is then baked in a European stone-hearth oven. This creates a delicious, crisp crust that also acts as a natural preservative for the chewy interior.

NINE GRAIN (MULTI-GRAIN)
A hearty full-flavored grain bread. Long, slow fermentation allows the flavor of many grains develop. (Grains and seeds: cracked wheat, barley, corn millet, oats, rye, triticate, brown rice, soya, and flax seed.) The multigrain crunch and varied flavors create a taste to accompany any food. (1lb. WHOLE WHEAT

HONEY WHOLE WHEAT
This healthy, hearty, chewy bread contains 100% whole wheat flour and honey which gives it a sweeter taste than our original whole wheat bread. A great bread for any occasion! (2lb. Loaf or 1lb. Boule)

100% STONE GROUND WHOLE WHEAT
100% whole wheat. This is truly a bread lovers bread made with 100% stone ground whole wheat. Very dense with a great grain taste. This bread makes excellent toast! (2lb. Loaf)

FRENCH BAGUETTE
This classic baguette, which originated in the French Countryside, has a long narrow cylindrical shape, with a crackly crust, hearth baked to a golden chestnut color. We make our baguettes just as the French do everyday. We hope you enjoy this loaf the day you buy it. French baguettes are truly our daily bread. baguettes are great with cheese and fruit. PAIN DE MIE

POTATO DILL
This is a very light, chewy loaf made with fresh dill and whole red potatoes. These ingredients help keep this bread moist and flavorful, producing a rough-hewn loaf and a soft springy crumb. This bread a great with fish dishes. (1lb Batard, Boule, or Rolls)

CINNAMON RAISIN
For every European cuisine, there is a raisin bread, each with a character all its own. Hogan's cinnamon raisin is loaded with sweet raisins, brown sugar , a swirled with cinnamon in every slice. This bread makes great French Toast or a midday snack. (2lb. Sandwich Loaf)

SUN DRIED TOMATO
Tangy and intriguing, this delicious loaf is made with dark sun dried tomatoes (packed without oil) and is one of our most exciting and best tasting breads. (1lb. Boule or Batard)

WHOLE WHEAT WALNUT

CHALLAH
This bread is used for Friday night Sabbath dinner in Jewish homes. Our old recipe is baked with quality eggs and ingredients. No yellow food color is added and there is no conditioner, chemicals, or artificial ingredients, Hogan braids this bread to give it a distinct shape. We recommend this bread for all occasions. KALAMATA OLIVE
A flavorful, provencal-inspired bread filled with the finest Greek kalamata olives. It's one of Hogan's favorites! These great olives give this loaf a salty tag while the olive oil provides a mosaic pattern when sliced or cut. FOCACCIA
